Written by: William Shakespeare (play Titus Andronicus), Julie Taymor
Genre(s): Drama

Runtime: 162 minutes
Released: December 25, 1999
Plot:
Even our most snobby acquaintances would likely describe the plot as uninspired, but not terrible. Featuring such a strong story, it’s no major suprise that this movie has garnered generally good reviews. We could be able to state the plot carries Titus, but the other aspects are strong enough on their own.

Execution:
A high quality plot is meaningless if the actresses and actors do not deliver strong performances. But they are strong in Titus. I was also pleased with the quality of the movie’s direction and production. The movie’s acting is reasonably strong. Jessica Lange and Anthony Hopkins stand out, however.
