Plot:
The writers are often the under-appreciated heroes of a movie, because they form the story. There are plenty of great aspects about the flick, though its plot may be the best one. This is a fine demonstration of quality movie writing.

Execution:
The execution of the film, in other words, the acting and production, is pretty good. I feel compelled to mention the often-ignored heroes of many movies: the production teams. Their work in Shrek the Third is really good. Coherence is an admirable, but generally neglected element. We applaud the directors for utilizing it!

Entertainment:
Thankfully, the entertainment quotient of Shrek the Third is large. Have I sat though better animation flicks? Yes, but Shrek the Third is in the ballpark. I promise that you will enjoy this film.
