Plot:
A movie’s writing is its infrastructure. Regrettably, this particular plot falls well short. It’s not exactly suprising. The plot is bad. Cinema writers are encouraged to avoid the multitude of failures that this movie’s plot outlines so well.

Execution:
Evening’s writing is a giant disappointment. It really feels as if it could done significantly better. I was compelled to give Evening poor marks for direction and production. The acting was acceptable thanks primarily to Toni Collette and Claire Danes.

Entertainment:
We were trying hard to find anything that we could point to that was in any way interesting, but we couldn’t find a thing. But have we seen worse films than this? Certainly, though not very many. No, the film isn’t “so bad it’s good”.
